Description
Steps in order to reproduce the bug:
- download edifici.zip without unzipping it;
- open the OGR tab in Add Layer;
- search [...] the edifici.zip file and then type /vsizip/ before and edifici.shp after in the Connection string (e.g. /vsizip/C:\Geodata\edifici.zip\edifici.shp\edifici.shp);
- click on Open, choose the only available layer (edifici) and finally click on Ok;
- once the edifici layer has been loaded in the view, right click on its layer name in the ToC and try to open its Layer Properties.
Result: a NullPointerException occurs.

The sample connection string should be /vsizip/C:\Geodata\edifici.zip\edifici.shp Sorry for the typo.
